Exciting news here at Big Rock Investments as we just closed recently on a major luxury condo property in the Royal Iolani building of Honolulu. Just off the intersection of Kapoliani and Date Street, the Royal Iolani is a two-tower building on the edge of the Ala Wai, Iolani School and golf course. Needless to say, we’ve got some darn nice views up there on the 37th floor! (I need to figure out exactly how high that is…)
What’s particular exciting about this project is that it’s actually two condos in one. The previous owner owned two adjacent units and removed the separating wall, leaving us quite the canvas to do as we please. With over 2500 of living square feet including the lanais, we’ve got room to work! And with the large scope of work planned, we’re going to need it because this is going to be a fantastic transformation.
Koa, koa and more KOA
Another nice bonus of this property is that it’s practically enveloped in beautiful koa wood! If you know Hawaii, then you know koa and this place has got koa!
The construction team of Fellows Construction is already knee deep in the demo and prep stages before moving on to the renovation of the floor, kitchen, appliances, bathrooms, etc. — you name it. Someone lucky owner is going to be in heaven when this job is done sometime in late January.
