Leaky Roof?
Can you believe all the rain coming down on Hawaii today? It’s been raining cats, dogs and mongooses outside my living room window since I got out of bed! Even Diamond Head is surrounded by rainclouds!
This is a good time as any to think about how your house stands up to the elements. Do you have a leaky roof? Is there mold around any skylights? The roof of your carport or garage? How do your rain gutters perform? Remember, you want that rain falling away from the foundation so your gutters need to be working well. How about your windows?
Don’t go out and check them now — unless you like working in the roughest elements and have a study raincoat, but after we get through this blip of Hawaii weather have a look and give your house an honest assessment. Remember, we have to deal with more than sunshine around here, so make sure your house is prepared for all kinds of weather in Hawaii.
